Get On the Funk Train

All aboard the disco express, a funky train loaded with catchy hits and sexy sounds courtesy of producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte. They assembled the Munich Machine and this 13-track CD reminds us how modern dance and pop music has evolved, thanks to their pioneering efforts.

Former singer Giorgio Moroder found fame as a songwriter and record producer before he set up his famous Musicland studios in Munich, later used by everybody from Led Zeppelin to Elton John. Working with fellow producer Pete Bellotte, the team created a unique hi-tech disco beat in their studio that yielded lots of hits and was a huge influence on House, Techno and Electronica.
